Constructivism 1913

Constructivism was an art movement in Russia, started during World War I, the movement rejected the idea of creating art for art’s sake, instead art was used as an instrument for social purposes, and was used to help construct the socialist system during and after the Russian revolution. Constructivist artist attempted to create art designed to be useful and practical rather thanattractive, and would help educate people the values of the new Soviet System.
